Fantastic song to write to.
Ran out of plays on last.fm and lala, so I broke down and bought it. On repeat till I get this script nailed.

almost there...
24 hours until the comic officially starts. So pumped. Dusting off the script and prepping it for roughs on the 1st.

in the zone
Trying to write, but I can't help but draw while the drawing's good.
Feeling a lot more attached to the characters now that I've started really developing their "looks". Little nuances, little details, things that give personality just by looking at them. :3

Name Change
A name change is in order.
Why? Several reasons... the biggest being that there are a few too many things out there that it could be confused with.
The Twelve - William Gladstone
It may be new-age tomfoolery, but it deals with "prophecies" and twelve individuals. He got it published first.
The Twelve - Marvel Comics
A bunch of unknown characters dug out of the annals of Marvel's past, probably to compete with Watchmen. Doesn't have any paranormal or supernatural themes, but it's the first thing that comes up in Google... followed by Gladstone's book. And the twelve disciples, which is kind of what I'm going for, but not right next to another comic book.
All in all, it's just too intimidating for a nobody like me to have to compete with established names like these, even if they're not very well respected in the industry. So, name change.
The comic is now called Hoshen.
A special thanks to John Crawford for helping me pick the name. I probably would've come up with something really corny if I didn't have someone who was familiar with the universe I've built up suggest something so simple.
That said, the name "The Twelve" isn't complete gone from this series. It'll pop up every so often.
