This isn't easy. I mean, it's easy in a sense, but it's a struggle. I'm starting to really get into unfamiliar territory with some of these characters. I've done the four basic stories I had in mind since I rebooted this project in the spring, and now I need to start working with stuff that I haven't had in my head since day 1.
Just writing for the sake of writing, really. I've been carrying on for the last four weeks without really sharing much of what I've been working on. For each chapter, there's a person or two who I can bounce ideas off of, and pick their brains for ideas about things to add, but for the most part, I'm keeping this under wraps. Which is unusual for me... usually I love to just share everything that I'm doing, to tell people about the things that I love and labor over.
I really just need to have something to show for it.
I have so much in store, so much story contained in this project, so many huge things bursting at the seams ... and I would just love to tell someone. But there are some things that I haven't told a soul, and it's driving me nuts thinking about the moment that I unveil the thoughts that have fermented in my head for so many years.
